No, but seriously, I am disabling this tomorrow. Tumblr is the new myspace and most of you are whiny teenage girls who need to recognize that most things are awful and next to nothing works out how you imagine, so get used to disappointment because that is nothing more than life as it comes. You will be sad, you will be let down, and no one is like movies. Quit feeling special on the internet and actually become something; everyone can blog but only a few can express. In equal measure though, in most situations, you will be happy and great things will happen. Perfect lips will collide with yours and better things will happen, just give up on hopelessness and take everything as everything and everything will work out for the most part. No, things are not ever going to be in the rose tint of your memory, but things will be in the slightly red tint of happy if you just let go. Don’t wish ill, and don’t expect exact, just be glad for messy happiness and smile when you’re bleeding.
The really important kind of freedom involves attention, and awareness, and discipline, and effort, and being able truly to care about other people and to sacrifice for them, over and over, in myriad petty little unsexy ways, everyday.
